Onboard graphics questions

Trying to find some decent options for mobo's with onboard graphics and have a few questions. More than likely won't be doing any real gaming (maybe facebook games) but am looking for something that could handle 1080p for streaming video and movies. From the little that I have read/taken in seems like AMD is better than Intel for onboard graphics, is this true? And after looking on wiki is this the proper order for performance 890GX HD 4290 - 790GX HD 3300 - 880G HD4250 - 785G HD4200 - 780G HD3200. Is anything older worth while looking at? I'm not looking at any DDR2 memory boards either btw.

More about onboard graphics questions
  1. I've just gotten an Intel H55 board and the graphics options are very limited and I wouldn't recommend. For instance, I've just installed the latest drivers and I get three warnings to run the control panel. Gaming image quality is very bad on FSX but the HD image seem OK. Think you're right on your performance tree. I've built and 785 system with onboard graphics and had no problem with the ATI/AMD graphics drivers.

You are about right with the order, not sure though about 880G and 790GX but in any case not a big difference between them.
