hi ive been using zone alarm 5.1.011.00 suite, for a couple of months now and iam getting very fed up with the time it taking to access most web pages and when i boot up some times it take ages for the true vector to start up if at all. it makes me want to jack up!!!
i reckon its slower than my old dile up connection, well mabey not but it sure feels like it..
zone alarm 4.5 was grate but not this.
so what iam looking for is a new firewall/antivirius to try..

I don't have much experience with software firewalls but all of symantecs software has been good to me in the past. Their firewall software might be worth checking out. If you have a broadband connection I recomend that you just pop for a little home router (they all are hardware firewalls). It will probably be close the same price as the firewall software but be MUCH better.
For antivirus I don't think there is any substitute for norton antivirus. I have seen McAffe and other smaller vendors but norton has been the best by far. I'm running norton antivirus corprate edition right now and it has never failed me.

I'd agree, get an hardware firewall. Failing that, you could always use the free version of kerio personal firewall.
