Modding BIOS from cd-rom without getting to Windows

Hey,
I am trying to use an old HDD on my Thinkpad T43, but I got the famous Error 2010, which won't let me even install the Windows. I should be able to get rid of the error with a mod, but I have no clue how to create a bootable iso out of .rom file. I would appreciate if someone could help me out.

You can't create a bootable ISO out of a ROM file. You will need to download and burn a boot disk / ISO. This one is often recommended => http://www.ubcd4win.com/ Also burn the BIOS ROM and BIOS utility (if there is one) on a separate disk. Boot from the boot CD, switch to the ROM CD and peform your update...
