I have several Optiplex 330 mini towers. I have three different images I can put on them. regardless of the image used, xp gets to the windows splash screen and then reboots. I am unable to get to the options screen to go into the safe mode, it just keeps rebooting. now, get this, I have installed new hard drives, no luck. I have swapped with a working hd, no luck. However, I can reformat the HD, put a clean install of XP on the drive and XP will boot just fine. I have swapp ed out memory, power supply and MB with no luck. I have entered the recovery console (by booting from the cd) and run chkdsk /r, fixmbr, taked the HD out, slaved it on another pc and rum multiple virus/maleware scans but nothing. the 3 different images I use, I have multiple copies of each and tried each one. I've ran diag software, bot Dell and third party and no issues found with any system hardware. This is really odd. I'm no expert but I know something about pc's and this has me perplexed. any ideas?
