Burnt dvds that are skipping and freezing.

why are my burnt dvds skipping and freezing? I've always used the same method for burning and now I'm getting different results.I use a mpeg2 format and burn with windows media player onto a dvd+r data disc.I've also always used the same dvd player.

Same kind of DVDs, same DVD program?
You can try cleaning the DVD player with a dvd disc lense cleaner

For burning, if you're having issues there then try slowing down the speed that the burner is burning at, in preferences
