Windows 7 makes my card fail

Hey all,
basically just got windows 7 i really didnt want to becuase i knew it would be hassle but i needed it for games etc,
i have a dwl-g520+ rev a wireless card d- link lifted from an old old computer i had
worked dandy when was running xp even without a antenna.
however now it seems i am screwed as there arent any 7 drivers for it
is there anything or any way around this like troubleshoot compatibility or anything
desperately need to get my computer back into my room because the kitchen table isn't the best place to herm all day

Google the card name and words "chipset driver" see what generic drivers for the chipset are available

ccan only find ones for xp ? many confused

Sorry, you knew Win7 would be a gamble. Only comfort is a new card may perform better and will be cheap.

is that the only way to do it ? would a virtual machine work or am i being silly

I don't have Win7 so not familiar with XP emulation (or whatever it's called) might be a solution, though.
