HDMI Graphics card to fit mATX board

I built a system a few weeks back but made a misorder and have some components that are past the return date. Big fail.

The board is a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L, 4Gb Ram, Q8300 processor.

My intention is to complete the build and sell it as a high(ish) end media center.

Thing is, I'm worried that i'll pick a GPU that won't fit!
It needs HDMI and to be able to handle blu-ray and 1080p mkv...

I know you guys now whats out there!!
Thanks in advance...

  1. Well, I'm supposing the G31 chipset doesn't come with HDMI ports, because the Q8300 would handle 1080p HDMI easily. As for a graphics card, most can tackle HDMI 1080p without a hitch. I suggest the ATi Radeon HD 4350 - just make sure it's one which comes with an HDMI port.
  2. Will the case pose any issues regarding space? Which case are you using? Maybe a HD 5450?
  3. as lmeow said, even the really lwo end cards today can handle 180p decoding. even integrated 4200's are fine for the job. if it has a HDMI port, it should be new/powerful enough to handle 1080p.
  4. The G31 that I used to use didn't have hdmi pretty sure this is the same one.I would go with a Radeon 4650 with hdmi and gddr3 you can find them for about sixty bucks and they don't use all that much power.
