Hi all,

My son in college has a problem with his Dell (I think it is a CPi)
laptop. When he plugs the ac adapter to the jack, there is a flame
visible inside the laptop behind the adapter jack. The laptop still
works though with a fully charged battery. I gave him a dead laptop
so he can use it as a charger for the battery. I was wondering if
this problem can be fixed.

Thanks.

Problem can be repaired generally providing theres not a hole the size
of a dime burned in the board..
