AOD red ghost

I'm sorry to ask, because I know you'll have answered this ages ago. But I
can't access old posts, they're crossed out. I'm absolutely stuck with the
red ghost in the Hall of Seasons level. I've tried following Stella's
instructions, but a) Lara keeps turning to face the ghost while armed, so it
never gets behind her. and b) there is NEVER a hand icon indicating a pick
up - the book just moves to another statue. I'm spitting pins - and can't
get the hang of a downloaded savegame in spite of Stella's clear
instructions. Is it necessary to put the disc in for that to work? I regret
to say I lent my game to a friend, so I don't have that option at the
moment. Of course, if is DOES make all the difference, at least it answers
my question. Thanks in advance, Parlicoot :-(

No point in a spoiler warning or spolier space so ....

You have to "stun" the ghost. It helps if the ghost is as far from the
statues as possible. It seems easier to stun him then. I think that
must be what is meant by "behind" Lara, on the side of her farthest from
the center of the room.

IIRC, 3-4 shotgun blasts should do it. You can tell he's stunned when
he goes quiet. It may take a few times before you recognize this, even
knowing what to listen for.

There is no hand icon that I remember, and you shouldn't take enough
time to even look for one. You have to be quick! As soon as you think
he's stunned, run up and hit action.

I guess you know to stay squatting as you shoot him, as he does less
damage as he passes through Lara that way.

Good Luck.
