My laptopxp reads my flash drive reads 0 free space 0 used space

My laptop XP reads my 16 GB 0 free space & 0 used space.Earlier it was working well. How can I repair it/ recover all data?Pl advise.Thanks- SKReddy

or try chkdsk /r to pendrive. it may help.

I have very little knowledge reg computers. Pl explain in simple terms whai I have to do. The pendrive was OK last week. Thanks- Krish

1. press win+r
2. Tye cmd and hit enter
3. write following command
4. chkdsk X: /r
Where X: is your pendrive. If your drive letter is E then type "E:"
You need to wait until it get finished. It might take some time depending on your Drive size and files on it. You may feel that its unresponsive but dont interrupt it, and let it do its work.
