Resolution Confusion

Hi,

Im looking for a 22" monitor. I dont need it for games at all, all i use my pc for is surfing, watching movies and document work.

I have an Asus K8vmx motherboard with a 64mb on board card, budget is an issue so i havent got a better graphics card, plus i cant find too many pci cards on the market anymore and my mobo doesnt have pci-e slots

the monitor i am eyeing is the benq g2220hd, the resolution of which is 1920x1080, the max resolution my mobo/gcard allows is 1600x1200..
will these two work together? will movies and text be distrted?

Na. Get a cheap PCI card, an 8400GS or HD4350 will work.

Nah just one that supports higher than the resolution that you are trying to run.

just checked, both are pci express cards, my mobo only supports pci
