The Server Service is missing from the list of the services available. How do
I get it back on the list? The svchost.exe -k netsvcx is running for serveral
other services.
Since the Server service is not available, I can not Start, Stop this service.
When I try to read the properties for a user, I get the following error
message " The following error occurred while attempting to read the
properties for the user David. The Server Service is not Started.
In order for me to start this service, I should first find it on the the
list of services.
How do I get the Server Services back on the list?

Hi Ramesh

Thank you for your response.
I could not find the attached lanmanserver.reg (zipped) file.
Where is this file?
What do I set the srvcomment Data Value to?
I found the key on another machine and its srvcomment data value for
parameter was REG_SZ.

Mansour,

You need to use a newsreader to see the attachment,.

>> srvcomment data value for parameter was REG_SZ.

REG_SZ is the value-type. What's the actual data assigned ?

BTW, the srvcomment usually contains "computer description" string.
