ASUS P5KC stopped posting out of the blue

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Motherboards ASUS P5KC stopped posting out of the blue

First off, here are my system's specs:

Raidmax 730w SS Modular
ASUS P5KC
Intel Core 2 Duo e6850 3.0@3.61MHz
Patriot 1333@1551MHz (6-6-6-18)
Hitachi Ultrastar 750GB 7200RPM
ASUS 6870 OC
Sound Blaster Audigy ZS

My system's been working fine for ages, ever since I bought the motherboard/CPU combo backsometime in 2007 (I believe). I had a few updates to install to I did, restarded the computer, it never posts. So, I clear the CMOS, still never posts.

Wait about thirty minutes with the power off, try again, it posts but then resets before starting Windows and stops posting again. So basically at this point, it won't post, it gives no beep signals, just turns on and stays on without posting or ever doing anything.

I've taken the RAM, video card, sound card out, and I've disconnected the HD and plugged it back in, still no luck. The only thing I haven't done is take the heatsink off of the CPU itself and reinstall that. Clearing the CMOS does nothing, I really don't see what options I have at this point since the motherboard won't even give me some sort of beeping code to let me know what's wrong. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on what I could try, please help me out. Thanks in advance.

You might have a corrupted Bios and would require a new bios chip if you board will allow that.
