Heat sink fan question.

Hello,
I want to replace my AMD sempron 140 and i don't want to buy the AMD Athlon X2 245 Regor with its fan i just want the chip is it OK to use the Stock Heatsink from the Sempron on the AMD Athlon X2?

Check to see if they are the same. If they are, then go for it.

I have doubts if they would fit. I have never used AMD, so cant say exactly. Wait for the others.

Doubt it. The fan will fit, but there is no telling if the HSF that came with a low end (read cool) Sempron will also work on a "high end" (read hotter) x2. Unless both chips have the same rated heat output, 45W or 89W, etc, I'd look for a cooler as well.
