I am building a gaming PC for under $500 and I was wondering if you guy's think this is a good build? Would you change anything different?

RAIDMAX Hurricane

MSI 890GXM-G65 AM3 AMD 890GX

hec X-Power Pro 650 650W Continuous @ 40°C ATX 12V

Crucial Ballistix Tracer 1GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333

AMD Athlon II X4 635 Propus 2.9GHz

EVGA 9800gtx+ (getting it used off a friend for $60)

I already own 2 hec psu's for other builds, and they have been running for more then 8 months, and I know the Athlon II x4 does not have an L3 cache.

OR!!!! Should I save a bit more money and buy the Phenom II x6 1055T to future proof my PC.

Any suggestions? :D

Please fill out the Build Advice form in my signature. That build will not run games very well, and neither will a X6 for the money. You want more than 1GB, and your personal experiences aside, I STRONGLY advise you not to get that HEC. It does not have an active PFC nor is it in any way certified to actually provide 650W. Add in the one year warranty and the fact that it's an HEC and it's all bad.

+1 on the RAM, get at least 4GB if you want to use Vista/Win7. There OS alone use 1GB ...
