Will a Radeon 5850 fit in an XPS 410?

The video card that came with my Dell XPS 410 is having emotional problems. I'm thinking of replacing the current 8600 GTS with a Radeon 5850 and a new power supply. I'm currently running with a 1280x1024 19" monitor so the 5850 would be major overkill but I'm hoping to get a new monitor soon.

What I'm thinking

My question is, will it fit? The hood that they have over the CPU on the XPS 410 takes up a lot of real estate and I'm curious if there will be enough airflow.

If it won't fit, are there any suggestions on something else that might work better?

From what I've read, the removal of the hood might result in some of the other system components being adequately cooled. I'm not wise in this sort of thing so I just took it to mean remove hood = bad.
