I have Installed in my computer ddr2 5300 667 MHz dual Channeling Kit. I bought a set of 2g ddr2 6400 800MHz dual channel. thats 4 1g sticks, so I put the 2 1g sticks that are dual channel into the computer and it just does a beeping sound so i take one out and it still does the beeping sound, It says my motherboard supports 4g's of rama nd it says that these are compatable with each other, is their a reason why these wont work together> also I can use 2 512mb sticks with the 2 5300 sticks but for somereason i cant use the 4 1g's sticks together? they are both duel channel kits? thx

Welcome to Tom's Forums! :)

You 'should' match all RAM with SAME: Speed, CAS, Voltage, and Type. You 'might' be able to get them to work together by manually setting everything to to LCD {Lowest Common Denominator}. The Disparities between the 2 sets is the problem.

Example:
667 4-4-4-18 @ 1.80v
800 5-5-5-15 @ 2.0v
================
667 5-5-5-18 @ 1.90v {choose the worst of each set, and the Voltage is a problem}

You'll need to post the EXACT part numbers, I prefer a LINK, to each set. Also, I need the MOBO and CPU.

My 'Best' suggestion is to RMA {exchange} the new RAM to Match the OLD RAM; ideally in your case if possible buy a second set of the OLD RAM.
