No. A Q6600 is an LGA775 processor, and will not fit an LGA1156 board. You will need to get a different processor for an 1156 board, or......

    A) Find a 775 board with more SATA ports
    B) Add a PCI / PCI-e SATA card (they typically add another 2 - 6 ports)
  2. Thanks Man You relieved me. Can you tell me some of the cards which can help me add 4 or 6 SATA ports to my system ??
  3. I have Intel DG33FB motherboard with me ??
  4. Throw out your old hard drives and replace your current ones with Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB's. Then you don't need more slots and your system will speed up.
  5. Yeah nice idea though but I have four 1 TB hard disk and two 500 gb hdd and still to buy one 2 tb hard drive.
  6. Buying a SATA controller you get additional SATA ports on your system without changing mobo
  7. @Alexander. Dude I know that. I am asking about which SATA controller will be helpful to me ? Can some one give me a name ? I need a name . Is this one going to fit my motherboard "3114 Silicon Image Chip SATA RAID PCI CARD " ??
  8. Sorry i didn't read it. Yeah that card fit your mobo
  9. Have you considered a NAS for your storage needs? Does all the storage need to be local?
  10. @fells Well NAS is something very costly. I need to buy Server Rack like a Dell Power Vault or something like that only companies do that not individuals. I think you know that. Any cheap means of NAS can you suggest ??

I use a custom built NAS with old computer parts running unRAID.
