I need some help with deciding between two pcs I could build over the summer.

i5 pc
corsair obsidian 800d
asus Maximus iii formula
i5 750
4gb corsair xms3 1600
EVGA gtx 470 sc
Corsair hx850w
Seagate barracuda 1tb
cheap optical drive
windows 7 home premium 64bit

i7 pc
corsair obsidian 800d
asus p6t
i7 930
6gb g. Skill pi 1600
EVGA gtx 470 sc
Corsair hx850w
Seagate barracuda 1tb
cheap optical drive
windows 7 home premium 64bit

I'm still not quite sure what mother board I want to het although I now I want to get one from asus.

I would say both are overkill in almost all parts except the cheap optical drive. :)  But if you can afford it, then go for the i7 as the i5's 1156 platform has some limitations comparatively. But it is a hell of a gaming platform itself.

Maybe fill out the Build Advice form in my signature, and we'll have a better base to make our decisions off of.
