Intel knew early last week about the chipset problem......

Yet didn't stop production, shipping or selling the boards till last night. This is not only going to cost Intel billions, but all the mobo manufacturers, oem's, big stores like Newegg and Tiger Direct, and mom and pop shops are going to have to incur billions in shipping costs, time, and labor to replace the parts.

"Early last week Intel duplicated and confirmed the failure in house."

Wow, seems they would have stopped production and shipping until they at least figured out the correct course of action instead of letting thousands more people end up with the boards.
