My Specs:
Corsair TX750W PSU
Intel Core I7 920 2.66GHz CPU OC'ed to 3.6GHz
Asus P6T deluxe V2 motherboard
Corsair Dominator 1600 DDR3 (6 Gigs)
EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Vid Card
2 WD SATA II Hard Drives
2 DVD Drives
4 System Fans
2 70mm fans on heat sinc

Other devices that will be plugged into the UPS:
Samsung 25 inch LCD display
Router and DSL modem

I need some suggestions on the size of UPS that I will need for this setup.
I'm thinking of going with an APC.

Thx for any help.

Get one in the 1250VA to 1500VA range depending on whatever your battery runtime and budget requirements may be.

Should give you at least 15 minutes or slightly more of battery runtime for your configuration.

This should give you enough time to do a graceful shutdown of your system during a power failure.

Thanks ko888

To answer your question Dadiggle, I'm replacing an old one that I just figured probably could not handle the upgrade to my computer, monitor, ect. It's 450W - 750Va.

If ko888 is correct, then I do need an upgrade on the UPS as well.

It really all depends on how long you need. Get a bunch of typical apps running like a heavy days use then hit the power button on the pc case and time how long it takes to shut down add a few minutes for safety and then go from there.

This is assuming you have your power button set to shutdown in the bios.
