hi all
like lots of you im having the kernel power error no blue screen pc just shuts down several times a day, i did a memtest it found i had 1 bad ram stick took that out and still shuts down iv ordered a new psu as the one that's in there looks cheap n nasty and is over 12mnths old my thoughts are maybe its on its way out but if theres any other ideas out there pc specs, wind 7 64bit ( amd phenom x6 2.8 asrock n68c-s-ucc mobo 2x 4gb ram -4gb bad ram geforce gt 240 1gb gpu 1tb hdd running triplehead2go 3x 19inch monitors)
cheers gareth

A cheapo psu supplied with a case is normally ok for testing, but not for a machine you use every day. Better to pay for a quality brand bronze of better psu.

Check how hot the chipset heatsink gets, as they are normally just up to doing the job and may need some active cooling after a year, also check cpu heatsink for dust build up.
