APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, which pretty much only includes WoW. Internet.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Sadly for my wallet, I require everything.

REFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg, US

PARTS PREFERENCES: I emphasize quality and longevity

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI. no CROSSFIRE. Probably OCing

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Gotta buy one first

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: The computer is where most of my entertainment and work is done, so it must be able to withstand MANY hours of constant use. In the pursuit of quality and longevity, I'm attempting my own build. WoW at near max is pretty much the most intensive thing I'll be running, but it, and simpler tasks, will run for many hours.

The worst part is, I want to do it for as close to (preferably under) $1000 as possible. Considering I need an OS, monitor, keyboard, the whole shebang, I'm wondering if this is even possible. I have my doubts, but if it is, the intelligent and handsome people here will know.

If it is really just for gaming, then I would go for a cheaper processor and a more expensive video card. WoW isn't particularly taxing on a computer, but if you want to play other games at full settings I would get a better video card.

My suggestion would be more along the lines of a triple-core phenom (OEM version) and an HD5770.

I have a build on Newegg right now that is at $938. It includes everything you would need minus the OS and mouse. If I have time I will post it a bit later, but right now I am supposed to be studying for finals haha.

I'm a big fan of what you got goin on here. I'm considering splurging on the sexy AMD Phenom II X4 955 now. I'm thinking I ought to step up that PSU slightly. Should I, or should anything else be stepped up?
