I just installed a 512 gig OCZ SSD. For some reason whenever I try to launch a game on Steam or load Skype I have issues. The video games just do not load and if I try to launch Skype the PC freezes. I'm very much PC noob (as you might already have figured). I just installed the OCZ SSD and took out other another 128 gig OCZ SSD which had completely failed and would no longer load.
My system - gigabyte SATA3 mobo, ATI 5970 vid card, AMD Phenom 3.4 cpu
