CPU Fan

Hi Every one
Should the fan on the CPU unit be blowing or sucking. I have had my fan off, when I came to put it back there is no indication of top or bottom?

If the fan is mounted parallel with the motherboard, it has to blow air downwards, onto the motherboard.

If its mounted perpendicular to the mobo (like on a tower shaped cooler), most people mount it in such a way so it blows air into the heatsink. It's seldom used to suck air through the heatsink.
