Only shows 800MHz of DDR3 memory?

Hi!

I've just completed my very first build.
But for some reason my Corsair Vengeance™ — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9)
rams only shows a total speed of ~800MHz in CPU-Z?

I'm using the P8P67 Deluxe motherboard so this is really making me nervous,
since I have set the clock speeds at manual to 1600MHz (9-9-9-24) and at 1.5v.

How come my full ram speed is not showing? Please help me locate the problem.
Thanks in advance

More about only shows 800mhz ddr3 memory
  1. DDR = Double Data Rate, so if it's showing 800 MHz X 2 = 1600 MHz which is rated speed. I would assume that RAM shows XMP-1600 under the SPD tab.
  2. Yeah, you're probably right - thanks for your assistance!
Here is a picture of my CPU-Z ''SPD'':

I guess this was what you meant with the SPD?
  4. In the Memory tab if it says "DRAM Frequency 800 MHz" then you're running 1600 MHz.

Ok, seems to be running at 800 = 1600MHz?

  6. Yep, 100% you are running 1600 MHz 9-9-9-24-2T!!!

    Thanks mate, much appreciated!
  8. I've suggest to CPUz to "show" both sets of numbers -- it freaks out everyone all of the time -- "I" don't even like to see my 1600 as "800"...

    Good Luck!
