Suspicious email

I received an email this morning which says it's a special report from Tom's Hardware and included a link to enter a contest for a free google tablet. The link made me suspicious so I came to the site looking for any information on the contest. I haven't found it. Was this a legitimate email or a scam? If it's a scam to whom and where should I report it?

  1. If you did not sign up on the tomshardware website, then you should not be getting an email from here. Delete it. FBI usually handles these things.

Some emal providers moniter reported spam for filtering. Mark it as spam, or
    http://www.justice.gov/spam.htm
  3. I'm just trying to confirm that it is fraudulent. I am a member on this site and do sometimes get emails from here. This one just struck me as an attempt to get a response from me. If there really is a contest or giveaway I would like to enter, but I see no indications of it. Have you received anything of the sort?
