Better for what? Each have distinct advantages and disadvantages for different uses and tasks.

Also, can we get links to all the parts or the model if it is a prebuilt so we have more information on the entire system?

In general, I would go for the first system because of the quad core. This is of course for my uses.
Also, the Nvidia 6100 was one of the last stable Nvidia chipsets that ran at a reasonable temperature.

The other system is faster for single-threaded tasks and the faster ram may provide a slight performance boost overall.

1st system: A Quad core CPU with nVidia chipset? why not go for the latest ATI lineup?

2nd system: A Dual core compared to Quad core? The answer is obvious

Personally, I'd go for the AMD setup, with a different chipset of course. It doesn't make sense to pair a high end CPU with such old school chipset. An 890GX would be more appropriate.

The X4 635 is better, but you don't want to pair it with a Gforce6100 motherboard.

Go for a 785G, 870, 885G, 870, or 890GX.
