I am going to buy a HDD for my new build, it is to be 1TB 7200RPM.
My main concern is warranty.
I am getting a Hitachi Deskstar 1TB 7200RPM at $92 with 3 years warranty from a shop. Price looks fare to me.
Now question is, I never tried Hitachi HDD, if in future drive fails will they replace it with a new one or will they send a certified repaired drive like Seagate do?
I dont want to buy Seagate because of a horrible experience with seagate.
I personally prefer WD as they last longer, I heard WD replace failed drive with a new one, is it true?
Which way should I go?
