Pref. Parts: SSD for OS and exes, other then that I just want quality
Overclock?: Min/Mod
SLi/xFire: Would like to start without and have the ability to add a GPU down the line
Resolution: I've been using a 17" at 1280x1024 but am looking forward to going 1920x1080 but no bigger then 23" because I'm thinking of adding a 2nd monitor. I've been spoiled at work while surfing the net and working at the same time.

Comments: Going for a moderate to high end build. Never want to have to replace the PCU/MoBo. SSD is a must along with 1-2TB drive for movies, photos and other docs. Like I said I'll be buying a Monitor separately but it will probably be 21-23" wide screen at 1920x1080.

I've been looking through the recent build because there have been a fair number of builds in this price range. Seems like i5 750 is best vote for gaming because you can get the same speed out of it for $200-300 cheaper once you add in mobo and ram.

Mostly I am looking to build a computer right around the break point of cost vs power, with the addition of enough power to add a 2nd GPU in the future when needed(3+ years down the line) and a SSD because slow load times and OS's are a pet peeve.

5970 is still not worth the price tag imho. 5870 or 5770 sli should be more then enough power for the next 5 years.

I am new to homebuilds and have yet to spend time sorting through MoBos, easier to get peoples opinions.

Also not super comfortable with over clocking so adding a bit to the price tag to give a bit of a break on the heat is fine for me. Also along with the Dual monitors and the possibility of a 2nd GPU might I not benifit from that i7 over i5?

I am not familiar with the air flow of newer cases but i do not care about the looks, function over form always.
