If it upscales will I see a difference in sound

I'm getting a reciever that upscales audio and video. I was wondering if I would still see an improvement with a sound card or would the receiver take care of that for me?

All receivers automatically up-sample audio to 24/96 or 24/192 these days, unless you use the multi ch inputs.
