Hi. :hello:
I am trying to fix a hp compac 6735s.Processor type: Amd Turion(tm)dual core mobile RM-70.Processor Speed:2000 mhz.Memory Size:2048 Mb RAM.
At first Boot it came up the following: The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum"?.
Now that has changed to:Non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready?. :pt1cable:
Since it will not boot at all i cant do any thing Can it maybe be the RAM that is bad or Hard Drive Error. If Hard Drive Error is it enough to mace a clean install of OS???If it is RAM of course than i must change that. :D

Thank you.

Assuming the error is correct, it sounds like one of the OS files is corrupt. Is this XP? If so, you may be able to do a repair install if you have the XP install disc, otherwise you may need to do a full install.
