Power Supply for i3/H55 HTPC

Hey all,

Looking to finalize a PS for my i3/H55 HTPC. The system will be driving:

i3 530
GA-H55M-UD2H
2x2 GB Kingston ValueRAM
Lite-On Bluray drive
40 GB Intel SSD
1 TB WD Caviar Black HDD (eventual swap out for e-sata external drive)

I have narrowed down my choices to:

(1)/(2) Antec EarthWatts 380W/430W ($60/$80 CDN)

(3) Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400 Watt w/ 120mm Fan ($70 CDN with $10 MIR)


Given that I will be putting this system into an Antec Fusion Remote Black, should I stick with an Antec PS? Is there any need to go 430W over 380W?

I'd get the Antec. It's an excellent HTPC PSU. You shouldn't need more than the 380W.

The remote you're using has nothing to do with the PSU.

All three are good choices and will easily power your HTPC.

I suggest you go for the cheapest one you can find. Newegg.ca has the Corsair for $51.49 w/$10 MIR

... and they have the 380W Antec for $41.49

MadAdmiral, I wasn't worried about the remote, more than the fit/cabling within the Antec Fusion box itself.

rwpritchett, my prices are a bit higher as they come from a local shop that I prefer to support when I can.
