First time computer build, how are my components?

Hi, I'm building a PC for the first time. I want to have a decent gaming machine that has room to grow for future needs. I want to keep costs at around 1200 - 1400 including software and monitor. Let me know if this is good or not! Thanks!

video card - Radeon HD5750 1GB (can't decide between XFX or Gigabyte, suggestions?)

thats actually the opposite of a gaming build. strong gpu and weak video card isnt for gaming. heres a better build:
