I purchased and then gave away TR1 twice before discovering Stella's
page and getting to grips with it. I felt fear when the wolves
attacked me in packs of four. I was devastated when Lara (me) drowned.
Gaining mastery over the various movements was exhilarating. I did not
believe I could kill T-rex in The Lost Valley. I also discovered this
group and felt that I had missed out on the beginning of TR.

Then I bought TR2. I hated it. I had mastery of Lara's moves. It was
more of the same. It was like a sequel to a much loved movie. I
especially hated the fact that it played much more like a shoot'em up.

And so I gave up raiding. Tho' obviously I am back and it is because
my nieces have a copy of TR and I am helping them through it.

Well welcome back then! :)

Know what you mean about TR2...

Especially the ending...

"Don't you think you've seen enough?"

That was a bit over the top imo, as they started pimping Lara but TR2 was
still fun.

TR3/TRLA is still my fave for some reason. I thought the South Pacific
levels were quite beautiful, and I love jumping so Mudubu Gorge or whatever
the third level is called was paradise. :)

Oh and Lara in a catsuit...

French Zoo and those levels...

"It's a mad house I tell ya! A mad house!"

Currently playing Trix's "Agean Legends". Bang-up job on that one. :)

The opening of the South Pacific level must be one of the most beautiful
scenes in the series. I had fun making Lara swim around to explore again and
again as I reloaded the level. TR3 had me more nervous than when I played
TR! and TR2 as I knew what enemies were coming and what to expect. Spoilers
like these contributed to me finishing the game faster than expected and
made me play it over and over again. Worth it though, considering the money
I spent on it.

I must say that I like all the games so far, even TRAOD (mostly... except
for the action of moving about when getting out a weapon to fire at an
enemy).
