It could be the 115v/240v switch on some older power supplies.

if its on the power supply its the 115v/240v switch as stated by timop

I've seen a case with dedicated power switch on the back panel. If it's a voltage selector switch, it usually has some remarks on it like: 115/220V. But if it's only a red switch (usually red LED backlit), then it's most likely a plain power switch.

On some new motherboards there is an easily accessible red button used to clear the CMOS settings when you're too aggressive with your overclock.
