Cant connect samsung n120 to anything ( tv ext. monitor)

i broke my screen on my samsung np N120 and cant see a thing so i was using a vga cable to hook up to a external monitor. everything was going ok until recently i can no longer get the external monitor to connect. the monitor reads "no signal" . i normally can just plug in and it would work but then it was getting more tricky. i would have to log into windows blindly w/ my password then it would work . then it became more of a chore ... i'd log in and if the monitor didnt start working after login i would do the Fn f4 thing and it would work .now nothing works.i tried different cords , different monitors, my samsung tv... and nothing . ive been reading a lot of posts talking about how theyre having similar problems and they all get resolved for the most part . i'd try to do the solution but for me its 10 's as difficult because i can only enter tin strokes .... please can someone help me . please
