Hi!

As of recent, I've been having problems trying to install Windows Server 2008 (same results with standard W7) x64 onto my 2TB HDD.

In the bios, I can determine whether to use IDE, RAID, or AHCI controllers, however the HDD is only recognized in the bios if using IDE. Unfortunately, when using IDE, the W7 installation cannot find the disk.

If I were to, per se, use the RAID setting, the bios then cannot the drive anymore however the W7 installation can. I then cannot install the OS because it requires a minimum of 2 hard drives.

The AHCI setting is detected neither by the bios or the W7 installation. Odd enough, at a point in the boot sequence when it specifies searching for drives using an AHCI controller it can see it.

Taking a look at the available drivers for the motherboard, I only see the ability to use a RAID controller.
