APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Near future, probably in the next few days

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Home Entertainment System, Word Processing

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor, Speakers, Peripherals

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg, Tigerdirect possibly

PARTS PREFERENCES: None really

OVERCLOCKING: Yes, but nothing too serious

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1440x900

Additional Comments: I have two major questions: The first, I was thinking about going with two 260 GTX in rather than the 5770’s. On Tiger direct they’re about a $40 price increase collectively, will they be worth the price hike? The second question being as to whether this PSU will be enough to power this system, accounting for light to moderate overclocking. Thanks in advance all!

Solution
Everything looks good, although I'd get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus instead. Also, if you do plan to overclock even a bit, I suggest this G.SKILL Ripjaws kit, 4GB DDR3 1600MHz, CL7 instead for $5 cheaper.

As for your graphic card question - I suggest you stick with one HD 5850 instead of buying two HD 5770s. However if you are keen on an HD 5770 CFX setup, then that would be better than the GTX 260 SLI setup, as the GTX 260s only perform a bit better than the HD 5770s, and do not support DirectX 11, ATi Eyefinity or lower power consumption. To be honest though, at 1440 x 900, an HD 5770 would be more than sufficient.
