I bought two OEM optical drives from NewEgg... will they still have drivers built in and auto-detect cd's and all that stuff?

That has nothing to do with the drives. The drivers are in windows, and the default provided by microsoft work great.

Huh? You really seem to be confusing the software and hardware.


Buying an OEM component simply means it comes with nothing else. In the case of an optical drive, it will come without the Sata/IDE cable, no boxes or anything else. It also may have a limited or no warranty.
