I need to buy about four mid-performance laptops for my business and would
like some advice about some reliable vendors. I looked at IBM's site and,
for instance, I can get refurbed T22's for about $700. These are P3-900 mhz
with 256meg memory and 20 gig HDD's, and come with W2k and a 3-month
warranty. This fits my needs well, performance-wise. I'm a big fan of IBM
laptops, BTW.
Reliability is a bigger issue to me than saving a few bucks, so is there a
reason to go somewhere besides IBM? Do any other vendors offer good quality
at significantly reduced prices? Thanks in advance for any help.

Try UBid for some great deals on factory refurbished laptops.

Have you looked at Acer laptops ?
I know someone who asked several support groups inside
companies and the answer was that Acer laptops were almost
never returned for repairs nor for problems.
