I have installed xp on E drive and Win7 on C , my xp in not working for the reas

My os windows xp is not working.
Startup failure shows- system root- windows system32\hal.dll file is corrupt or missing - reinstall this again

Win xp is on E drive

On C drive win7 is working properly.

But I didnt open win xp which is on drive E

please help me.

Did you originally install XP to E, or did you rename C to E?
