Hello,

First of all, I’m sorry if I wrote in a wrong place. But I’ve got a pretty annoying problem.
I don’t remember when it started but it happens quite often. Sometimes when I load my operation system my bios has a problem finding the Hard drive but after I pulling out and in sata cable it gets back to normal. But my point is that Sometimes the Red light stop flashing and everything freeze. And the only thing I can do is reload my computer….and after that it usually can’t find a hard drive but after some pulling out and in sata cable I can load my OS and continue my work…till the next freeze. I noticed that it ALWAYS freezes when I’m trying to launch defragmentation process. But it doesn’t happen when I do defragmentation with the program which is called PerfectDisk. This program defrags my hard drive without any problem. So it’s pretty confusing.

I’ve tried to solve the problem myself. I’ve changed sata cables (several times because I’ve got a bunch of them that came with my motherboard). It happens again so I bought a new Hard drive. But still it keeps happening even after I’ve changed everything. I even though it’s something wrong with my RAM memory so I tried to pulling some out, leaving just one or 2. But still it doesn’t help my case. I really don’t know what to do. I hope that here I find help and solve my problem.

I also include my computer information.

Thanks for the attention.

start with the simple stuff. download cpu-z and read your ram speed and under the spd info the speed your ram can run at.
you do have three set of dimms. if there not all rated the same timing and speed you can get lock ups. I would also download memtest86/memtest and boot it from a usb or cd and see if your ram passes. for your hard drive download the vendor fitness tests or read the smart info to see if your hard drive is the part having an issue. the last thing is make sure your bios is up to date...there are a lot of bug fixes for your mb one of them are for hard drives.

The problem may not be with the hard drive, you should try a memory test program such as memtest86 and run for at least three passes. You should also download from the manufacture of your hard drives web site their hard drive diagnostic software. The problem could also be with the SATA interface, try connecting the drive to another SATA connector. Finally this problem could be caused by the power supply, try another power supply if possible.

Thanks for the reply, As I've already told I'll try to test my raw with that program and ofc I've tried different SATA connector/SATA cable. Don't really think I should test hard drive because, as I already said, it's new.

I've checked my RAM with the lattest version of memtest86 and the program found no errors. SO I still need to solve this problem. Any more suggestions?
