I NEED HELP PLEASSSSEEEEE..MY 1 TB HARD DRIVE STOPPED READING ON MY MAC AND I HAVE SO MUCH IMPORTANT FOOTAGE THAT I NEED TO FINISH EDITING ASAP..THIS IS THE MESSAGE IM GETTING WHEN I TRY TO MOUNT IT VERIFY IT AND REPAIR IT CAN YOU HELP ME

Well I would suggest bringing that hard drive to a professional data recovery service. Sure it will be expensive depending on how much data you have/need to recover, however at least this way you will be guaranteed your data back.

As a side note - it would be a good idea to start having multiple back ups for your important data. Having all of your main data on a non backed up hard drive is screaming for problems.

You should have at least 2 types of back up - say something like a USB based HDD, and /or something like a DVD disc, or blu ray disc.

And with backups - always do a test on them after a back up to make sure they are backing up properly.
