8800GT still hot

Hello,

I had an broken nvidia 8800GT 512 MB (which had artifacts). Dell replaced my videocard, but the temperatures of it are now 69 degrees on idle.
My broken videocard was idling at 73 degrees.

How is it possible?! :S :S I dont understand, this is a just a new card.

Please help.

you can also re-check your case air flow and dust in your case

Also, check to make sure that all the fans are working in the computer. One of them might have gone bad, causing the computer to over heat.

8800GT's has several different cooling solutions. Most of them were single slot and depending on what the fan profile is they ran pretty warm even at idle. What are your load temps, that will help as well. Other than that, does it artifact? if not, I wouldn't worry about it. Heat doesn't equate to a bad GPU or memory.

No it doesnt artifacts, its a new card installing (replaced by Dell).

If I play GTA 4 on very low (but shadows are on), its 75-83.

And 75-83 is not hot for an 8800GT. I am sure you will see higher temp than that once you hit a game that really heats it up.
