I ran antivirus software that found and removed malware, and then found out that the keyboard doesn't work anymore. At first I thought that I had a bad keyboard and replaced the ps2 with a new usb, but that didn't work. So I used the installation disks to run the repair. The keyboard ran fine through the repair until it was time to type in the serial number, at which point the kb would not function. So now the hard drive is locked in the installation mode and a reboot will just bring it back to and stop at the serial number input. I have an older copy of the hard drive on another hard drive and can copy and paste whatever files that I need, I just need to know what files are used by the kb so that I can replace the files and complete the repair and get my system back.
