Hello,
Just upgraded to a new MB, CPU, and Memory. Got all the basic items connected, but the mouse will not respond. I have tried both a USB 2.0 mouse, and a PS/2 mouse. The MB GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0 running FB bios. Other info, I have 6GB of Corsair DDR3 memory 16000, and I7 950 processor. The system boots, and loads the pre-existing Windows XP OS, but only the keyboard responds. I have enabled the Mouse in the BIOS, but still nothing. Not sure what to do next.

I have not yet installed the drivers from teh drivers disk, but figured I need a functioning mouse to do that. But I amy be wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to Toms Forum! :)

First, do not use the Drivers on the MOBO CD/DVD, and instead download ALL of the updated Drivers from the GA website per your OS; ALL of them.
GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0) http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3449#dl

Regarding the Mouse, assuming your Keyboard works, open the Device Manager and Delete the Mouse {Mice and other...} entry, and restart. Use the Windows key, arrows, Tab, and Enter keys.

In general DO NOT USE an OLD XP install.
