I would spend $22 extra and upgrade to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103644

Here is a great MB with the features you want: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128416

I am not sure about a case but if you need one this is a great case for the money with fans/dust filters included: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066 It has an optional 120mm side fan. I like the Antec TriCools that come with it.....3 speed and on low almost silent but still move quite a bit of air. They are about $15 each if you want to add the optional one.

And I forgot the PSU..The 450VX will be fine for 1 x 5770 but if you plan to Crossfire you will want this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004

That brings the total to $830 with a case.

The phenom II 940 is an old AM2+ CPU. It wont work in the AM3 motherboard you listed. Go with an Athlon IIx3 440 ($75) for better performance cheaper. Move up to a Phenom IIx4 955 for a strong quad core CPU. The Phenom II 555 is a good dual core, but dont buy it assuming you will unlock it into a quad. The odds are not that good.

The above linked GA-790XTA-UD4 is a good motherboard at a good price.

Look at Antecs PSUs. They are generally a bit cheaper than Corsair and Seasonic branded PSUs and are built by Seasonic (just like Corsair is). The Antec EA650 is cheaper than the Corsair 550 and will handle two 5770s.

The 300 illusion is my favorite bargain case, and you can usually get it in a combo with a good Antec PSU to save even more money.
