Keyboard not responding in bios

Hello, I've recently got an old computer for a freind, and the problem is that the keyboard does not respond in the bios.

It works before it boot, I can enter the bios by pressing F2, but it stops after that, and the only way I can get out is by shutting it down.

I've tried with two ps2 keyboards, they work fine when I let it boot and before I enter the bios.

All I can think of is that it's a a fault on the main board, any ideas? Thanks

I've tried the former, and I don't know, I'll try. Interestingly, it did work the first time, but it hasn't worked since. Anyway, I'll try that now.
