Ok, the graphic card on my son's PCs is dying (snows when games are played).

PC Configuration
Intel Q6600 G0 (OC to 3.0GHz)
MB - Gigabyte EP45-DS3
RAM Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF
PSU Corsair VX550 or HX620
LCD - 1920X1080

Uses - Programming, Gaming
I expect the life expectancy of this PC to be another 2-3 years

Question - What best value/performance graphic card on the market today would you recommend for this configuration and Why?

Thank you for your help.

If you want to buy a budget graphic card, 5770 would be better

Yes if you can't afford the HD 5850 then 5770 is the way to go

HD5770 ~$150 handles everything well at 1920 x 1080
HD5850 ~$300 handles everything great at 1920 x 1080
It is all a matter of how much money you want to spend

Thank you for all your feedback.

I am leaning towards the HD5770 as it is probably the one within my budget.

A question I have -

Is the HD5770 a good combo with the Q6600 @3GHz?

Would either be a bottleneck for the other OR is this question in the "Not Applicable/Relevant" category?

Cheers
